A longtime House stenographer was pulled off the House floor last night during the debt-deal vote after walking to the dais the president uses for State of the Union speeches and yelling about Freemasons.
Todd Zwillich of Public Radio International captured the full audio of the woman, included at the end of the C-SPAN video clip.
“Do not be deceived. God shall not be mocked. A House divided cannot stand,” the stenographer, identified as Dianne Reidy, yelled into the microphone. “He will not be mocked, He will not be mocked — don’t touch me — He will not be mocked. The greatest deception here, is that this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been… it would not have been… No. It would not have been. The Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons… and go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, Lord Jesus Christ.”
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), serving as speaker, banged the gavel repeatedly calling for order as people urged Reidy to pipe down. She was eventually dragged away by security and questioned by Capitol Police, then sent for a mental health evaluation.
“I was there when I saw her start screaming. I thought it was somebody telling us we had two minutes to vote or a minute to vote. I thought it was some official person. And that’s how she got there. The sergeant-at-arms didn’t try to stop her,” Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) told CNN.
“And it’s where she’s situated. And she actually went up behind the podium where the president speaks from. They thought she was going to hand something to the speaker. And then realized, and then she was caught up — and all this happened in about 10 seconds. And — but I was talking to people afterwards who work with her, said she’s a perfectly normal, rational person. And they — well, she seemed to just lose it tonight.”
You know that stenographer meltdown was bad when even Infowars is calling it “bizarre”
