Obama: 'Let's make it a little harder for our kids to get gunned down.'

Barack Obama was once known for delivering soaring, if empty, rhetoric. Now, he’s using lines like this when speaking to a room full of parents whose children were victims of gun violence.

If the president and his allies were really interested in making it harder for our kids to get gunned down, he and they would have favored posting armed security at schools immediately after Sandy Hook. But we all know how that issue has developed. Some of us out here in the hinterlands advocated it, the NRA advocated it, the left denounced it as lunacy, before the president eventually came around and acknowledged that maybe posting armed security at schools isn’t so crazy after all.
