Obama: There are 'Too Many Folks' Still Looking for Work

Responding to news that the US unemployment rate increased to 8.3%, President Obama suggested that the unemployed should stop looking for work. Speaking in Washington, the president said “We’ve still got too many folks out there who are looking for work.” Video here.

When unemployed people decide to stop looking for a job, they are no longer counted as unemployed by the government, and the official unemployment rate goes down. President Obama seemed to be instructing the unemployed to do as he does, and stop doing something that is not working — in this case, looking for a job in the Obama economy.

So if you’re unemployed, do Obama a favor and stop looking for work already.
