How do You Raise a Fifth Grade Capitalist in Obama's America?

I am reading a book by CNBC’s Joe Kernen and his young daughter, Blake Kernen, called Your Teacher Said What?!: Defending Our Kids from the Liberal Assault on Capitalism. As you can guess by the title, the book looks at the ways that our education system and popular culture attack capitalism and Kernen sets out to teach his daughter the facts about how the economy works and why capitalism is important. His daughter’s school and the progressive culture? Not so much. It’s more invested in teaching her propaganda about the immorality of capitalism and the morality of climate change.The book focuses on a series of conversations between a father and his daughter on these topics and he teaches her to think critically about America and the free market. It’s definitely worth a read if you have a school-age child and you wonder what in the heck your school is teaching them about free trade, free markets, and the economy. You can pick up some tips to help counter-act the liberal agenda that runs rampant in the schools, often unchallenged and unchecked.
