Former Staffer: Ron Paul Just Might be a 9-11 Truther

Eric Dondero worked for Rep. Ron Paul for about a dozen years, including the years immediately after 9-11. According to Dondero, there’s more than a trace of Trutherism about Paul:

Ron Paul was opposed to the War in Afghanistan, and to any military reaction to the attacks of 9/11.

He did not want to vote for the resolution. He immediately stated to us staffers, me in particular, that Bush/Cheney were going to use the attacks as a precursor for “invading” Iraq. He engaged in conspiracy theories including perhaps the attacks were coordinated with the CIA, and that the Bush administration might have known about the attacks ahead of time.

Because Dondero has come out with this and more about Paul, including Paul’s anti-Israel views, he is being subjected to some character attacks. But that shouldn’t distract from how well what Dondero writes lines up with what Ron Paul actually says.

K: Okay and one last thing why won’t you come out about the truth about 9/11?

Paul: Because I can’t handle the controversy, I have the IMF the Federal Reserve to deal with, the IRS to deal with because no because I just have more-too many things on my plate. Because I just have too much to do.

That’s not old footage from years ago, it’s from October 2011. It’s the answer of a Truther who either out of cowardice or for strategic reasons, refuses to admit what he really believes. Add in the fact that Paul pals around with the execrable Truther Alex Jones, and the case for Ron Paul as a Truther himself is beyond doubt.
