Flying in the wake of Bin Laden

I will be flying tomorrow morning on an early flight out of LAX to New York. No doubt the security will be tight. It probably already is. One of many horrors we all owe to the now deceased monster Bin Laden is that he ruined the experience of flying for the rest of our lives and no doubt beyond. My daughter may never experience the simple pleasure of just walking on to a plane without endless screening and hassle. Remember that? I barely do and I began flying in the 1950s.

I don’t believe in Hell, but right now I wish I did, so I could believe that man would be consigned there for eternity.

One other thought before I go to bed to wake up early for my flight: Remember how we were all told not to worry about Pakistani nukes because our government worked with the Pakistanis and we knew everything about the location and control of their nuclear weapons? In the wake of what we are learning about Bin Laden’s whereabouts, think again!
