I’ve missed most of it, but just caught the president claiming that the Democrats have shown that they’re prepared to take significant cuts, even in programs they care deeply about.

Update: Speaker Boehner is responding. He notes that the GOP introduced a CR to keep the government going on the short term, and cuts spending by $12 billion over the next week. Says GOP will continue to fight for “the largest spending cuts that are possible.”
