I’m never surprised when heroes of the left (the left being a philosophy based on the rule of man and not the rule of law, they are eternally seeking their latest savior), after having their moment at the head of the movement, rapidly descend into crackpottery when it turns out they couldn’t commence the utopia and the followers go seeking someone new. (Howard Dean, Ralph Nader, Michael Moore, Barack Obama, etc.)
