(Reminder: New episodes are on the podcast page, but I’ll still do promos here.)
My friend Ellen Karis is back on the Kabana for the first time since the pandemic to talk about things like Donald Trump's chances in the state of New York, as well as the fact that the Manhattan that I've loved for over thirty years now mostly exists only in my memories.
When I went to New York in early May, I stayed in Brooklyn the whole time. That was mostly because that's where my daughter now lives, but also because I knew that I probably wouldn't like what I would find in Manhattan. Ellen is a Manhattanite, and she gives me a full rundown of the state of the city.
Like Kevin Downey Jr. and me, Ellen has been doing stand-up for a long time and is conservative. We are a rare breed, but not quite as rare as you might think.
There has been a lot of talk lately about Trump putting up a fight in the state of New York because he thinks it is in play. Ellen and I get into that, as well as the general state of the election.
It was a lot of fun catching up, and I won't wait too long before Ellen is back on the show.
Enjoy!
