Less than a week after the Pentagon revealed that it’s been playing X-Files and looking for UFOs, a SpaceX rocket launch from Vandenberg AFB gave Californians quite a lot to talk about. Early Friday evening on the West Coast, the sky lit up with an unfamiliar sight. Twitter went crazy, of course. I didn’t even go outside to try and see, I just kept looking at the pictures and videos that were being posted (that says a lot about me).
As people from social media began revealing that it was a SpaceX launch, Elon Musk — the company’s CEO — decided to have a little fun:
