Convicted murderer Marwan Barghouti threw his hat in the ring for the Palestinian presidency today, reversing a previous pledge to stay out at the last moment. Haaretz has some instant analysis (shouldn’t they have a blog?)saying Barghouti intends to follow in “Arafat’s path.” What a guy. Does he already have a Swiss bank account? I’d bet on it.
