My older son Raphael Simon is a writer – author of several episodes of Rocket Power and of witty journalistic pieces for, among other venues, the Los Angeles Times Magazine.

Now he has broken into print for the first time in book form, with the first essay (“Israel 90210”) in the new anthology Mentsh : On Being Jewish and Queer. It may sound biased, but it’s not. Raphael is a terrific stylist – and less dogmatic than his father. I recommend it!
