As it was on its way out, the Biden regime looked around at the devastation in North Carolina and Los Angeles, at the American people’s suffering from inflation, at ever-rising gas prices, and at the increasing difficulty ordinary people have in simply making ends meet, and decided: Hey what we really need to do is send $50 million worth of condoms to Gaza. Oh, yes it did. The Trump administration stopped this madness in time, but wait: it gets even worse.
On the surface, this looks to be an all-time entry not only in the multi-volume and ever-growing annals of government waste but in the log of leftist government tone-deafness as well. Gazans aren’t looking around at the devastation they brought upon themselves with Hamas’ massacre of 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023, and saying to one another: “You know what we really need now? $50 million worth of condoms.”
In fact, Gazan society places a tremendous value on having large numbers of children, so as to overwhelm the Israelis with a demographic jihad if massacring civilians and blowing things up doesn’t end up working. So was the planned Biden regime rubber run yet another example of Western do-gooders not realizing that not everyone thinks like a Manhattan leftist weeping into his or her or xis latte about how “climate change” is making earth’s present population unsustainable, and thinking that the only thing that is needed to turn Gaza into Sutton Place is a bit of “reproductive responsibility”?
Maybe. Fox News reported Tuesday that the new White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who (thank God) is no Karine Jean-Pierre, noted that “there was about to be $50 million taxpayer dollars that went out the door to fund condoms in Gaza. That is a preposterous waste of taxpayer money.” Luckily, Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s foreign aid freeze caught this particular payout in time.
But was it just cultural insensitivity and waste, as well as more America-Last wrongheadedness? There is a more insidious possibility. The Fox report pointed out that back in Feb. 2020, the Jerusalem Post stated that for the previous two years, Palestinian jihadis had been “launching flaming kites and other improvised explosive devices (IEDs) like condoms and balloons into the South” of Israel, and were continuing to do so.
The Post added that “booby-trapped balloons and condoms began to be carried east toward the South, carried by winds coming off the Mediterranean Sea. While the use of kites – a popular Middle Eastern pastime – seems to have disappeared, scores of balloons and condoms with explosive devices attached to them continue to land in schoolyards, agricultural fields, and highways.” The Post noted that “these primitive devices” had “wreaked havoc, burning thousands of hectares of land and causing millions of shekels of damage.”
Was the Biden regime really unaware of this? That would have been bad enough, but even worse was the possibility that it knew all about it, and was planning to send the condoms anyway. After all, Biden and his henchmen funded the jihad against Israel all through the latter part of the Biden regime’s misrule.
As late as Nov. 2024, after Donald Trump had already won re-election, the Biden regime sent $10 billion in once-frozen funds to the Islamic Republic of Iran, where they chant “Death to America” in the mosques every Friday. That followed an earlier $10 billion that Old Joe shipped over to the mad mullahs in March 2024.

To do such a thing, one would have to be stupid, or evil, or both. Old Joe’s secretary of state, Antony Blinken, assured us that the Iranians had been told not to use the money for anything but “humanitarian purposes,” but really, how stupid did Blinken think they were, and we were? Money is fungible. If I give you some and tell you to use it only for X, you’ll use other money that you had planned to spend on X to buy Y instead. So any way you slice it, the Biden regime was funding the jihad against Israel.
Would it have gone so far as to equip it as well by sending over condoms that would be used not to prevent the conception of children, but to make incendiary devices that could be used against Israel? Surely even Biden apparatchiks wouldn’t do that, would they? Given their manifest hostility to Israel throughout their four years in power, the real question should be: what would possibly have stopped them from directly aiding the Palestinian jihad?
