December Down Under

What is December like in Sydney?  One word: summer.  The seasons are reversed in the Antipodes. This year summer has brought Oprah Winfrey and sent off ocean cruises. Plus, under what circumstances would anyone in Australia whistle the theme from Maverick? Assuming that they remember Maverick back when he was played by James Garner.

This PO cruise ship hooted and passed about 75 feet under me. The audio on the poor Zi8 doesn’t do justice to the party music blasting away, but if it wasn’t a Zi8, I probably wouldn’t have had it with me.

This little number sails around the harbor.  I don’t think the paddlewheels really drive it, but at any rate, I couldn’t help but whistle.
