Protesters shout slogans near a banner showing an illustrations of U.S. President Donald Trump as they march toward the U.S. Embassy after a rally demanding peace on the Korean peninsula in Seoul, South Korea, Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017. North Korea's military on Tuesday presented leader Kim Jong Un with plans to launch missiles into waters near Guam and "wring the windpipes of the Yankees," even as both Koreas and the United States signaled their willingness to avert a deepening crisis, with each suggesting a path toward negotiations. CNN is reporting that North Korea has stepped back from their threats against Guam, and the network is even willing to give some of the credit to President Trump’s amped-up rhetoric. Mark Hertling, CNN’s chief military contributor, said it’s “very possible” that POTUS does deserve the recognition. Many in the mainstream media panicked when it seemed like his “fire and fury” statements were more out there than they would have wanted. So all the more reason to believe them now, if they’re saying this strong rhetoric may have won a small victory against the Kim Jong-un regime.
