Rogue prosecutor Fani Willis claimed another scalp on Tuesday, getting former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis to plead guilty to making false statements and writings related to the 2020 election in Georgia.
According to reports, she was tearful as she entered the guilty plea in the Fulton County Superior Court.
“As an attorney who is also a Christian, I take my responsibilities as a lawyer very seriously and I endeavor to be a person of sound moral and ethical character in all of my dealings,” Ellis said. “I believed that challenging the results on behalf of President Trump should be pursued in a just and legal way, but I failed to do my due diligence.”
“If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-election challenges,” Ellis added.
“I look back on this whole experience with deep remorse.”
Ellis took to Twitter/X on Tuesday morning to express her faith in God:
God is good all the time. Even in the midst of an evil world.
Psalm 91. ❤️

Willis had initially charged Ellis with racketeering and soliciting a public officer to violate their oath at a 2020 Georgia Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing. Instead, she pled guilty to the false statements charge. The judge in the case sentenced her to five years of probation and ordered her to pay $5,000 in restitution. She’ll have to complete 100 hours of community service and will be forced to write an apology letter to Georgia citizens, including the millions who believe Willis’s case is completely bogus.
Ellis joins Sidney Powell, former Trump attorney Kenneth Chesebro, and bail bondsman Scott Hall, who also pled guilty to lesser charges.
Ellis will be required to testify “truthfully at all hearings and trials against codefendents,” and must “fully cooperate with prosecutors.”

The judge also slapped her with a gag order, stipulating that she cannot have any contact with codefendants and cannot post about the case on social media
