There’s nothing quite like a beautiful rendition of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” But a little girl in Northern Ireland has taken this song to another level. Kaylee Rodgers, from Donaghadee, County Down, is ten years old. She recently performed this piece with her school choir and hit it out of the park. But the more incredible part of the story is that Kaylee suffers from autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Singing is something that has given her confidence, and she does it just beautifully.

According to the National Autistic Society, autism is a “developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people.” The NHS defines ADHD as a group of behavioural symptoms including “inattentiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness.”
…”For a child who came in P4 and wouldn’t really talk, wouldn’t really read out in class, to stand and perform in front of an audience is amazing. It takes a lot of effort on Kaylee’s part” Colin Millar, principal of Killard House, told UTV.
