D.C. Restaurant Boots Liberal Who Accosted a Trump-Supporter, Calling Him a 'Nazi'

On the Fourth of July, an obnoxious liberal accosted a Trump supporter in a Washington, D.C. restaurant, calling him a “Nazi.” The restaurant booted him, and he took to Twitter to brag about it. He asked his followers not to patronize Hill Country Barbecue Restaurant, the popular Texas-style barbecue restaurant.

“Just got thrown out of Hill Country DC for standing up to a Nazi. Don’t go there ever again. They support Trump and Nazis,” T.J. Helmstetter tweeted.

When asked to elaborate, Helmstetter narrated: “Guy wears MAGA hat at my favorite restaurant. I say ‘hey are you from dc?’ He says ‘no.’ I say ‘we don’t tolerate racism in this city.’ His girlfriend then physically jabs fingers into my chest and starts threatening me. Management tells me to leave, not woman who assaulted me.”

So this obnoxious liberal confronted a man for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat, accusing him of being racist. His girlfriend did not take kindly to this (I can’t imagine why).

Helmstetter has made his Twitter account private, but some Twitter users shared screenshots of his tweets.

“Intolerant man harasses people trying to have dinner and is shocked that he is asked to leave,” The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway quipped.

To this, Helmstetter replied, “So standing up to nazis is intolerant? That’s a new low, even for you. Standing up for what’s right is called bravery, but you wouldn’t know anything about that – coward.”

“I used to live around the corner from Hill Country and knew the owner. Have no idea what his politics are but I do know that he probably wouldn’t tolerate someone harassing people in his restaurant. You know, the way you did,” Republican strategist Arthur Schwartz tweeted.

Hill Country responded to the incident Friday afternoon.

“Last night in Washington, D.C., we had an unfortunate incident and had to ask a guest to leave due to their hostile behavior towards another guest in the restaurant. Hill Country Barbecue Market is in the business of serving great barbecue with friendly and hospitable service,” the restaurant tweeted. “In return, we ask our guests to be respectful and polite to each other. We continue to ensure our restaurants are a safe place for all of our employees and our guests.”

No American should be harassed for wearing a patriotic hat on the Fourth of July. Many disagree with Trump and his “Make America Great Again” slogan, but it does portray a pro-America message, one fitting for the Fourth of July. Hill Country made the right move here, and Americans should patronize this fine establishment.

Speaking from personal experience, I can say the barbecue is delicious.
