New Harvey Weinstein Lawsuit Makes Hollywood More Nauseating

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman revealed a new lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein and his brother, Robert. Among the allegations are claims that some of Weinstein’s employees were required to keep condoms and erectile dysfunction injections on hand. You know, just in case Harvey needed them.

Weinstein also allegedly told a female employee that she should leave the company and go make babies because that’s all she was good for.

Then there’s this:

“[The Weinstein Company] employed one group of female employees whose primary job it was to accompany [Weinstein] to events and to facilitate [his] sexual conquests. These women were kept on TWC’s payroll in TWC’s New York, Los Angeles, and London offices,” the lawsuit states.

“While they had different titles, as a practical matter their primary responsibility included taking [Weinstein] to parties at which he could meet young women, and introducing him to young women seeking opportunities at TWC with whom he could attempt to engage in sexual relations. These women were described by some witnesses as members of [Weinstein]’s TWC ‘roster’ or his ‘wing women.’”

How many in Hollywood said they were clueless this was happening?

Weinstein admits to numerous charges of sexual harassment. He’s been accused of several cases of sexual assault. He is now accused of just being a generally horrible human being. Yet no one knew?

Hollywood isn’t that big of a place, for crying out loud, and Weinstein was too high profile for none of this to ever have come up. In other words, any ignorance in Hollywood as a whole was willful ignorance.

There was a conspiracy of silence designed to protect the proclivities of the powerful like Weinstein. People kept quiet despite knowing just how victims were being created.

How many of those Hollywood elites were outraged at the recording of then-candidate Trump’s “locker room talk,” only to feign ignorance when the Weinstein allegations surfaced? What Trump only talked about, Weinstein did, and far worse.

And yes, he got away with it because he was rich and powerful.

Now, to make matters worse, there were people allegedly paid to facilitate this misconduct. People whose job was to make sure Harvey Weinstein could be Harvey Weinstein.

To argue that no one knew is impossible to accept, and I don’t care how many times these people dress in all black. That does nothing to absolve them of their sins.
