A University of Chicago engineering student was arrested for making online threats against the school’s students and faculty.
Jabari Dean’s motive was to exact revenge for the killing of 17 year old Laquan McDonald by a Chicago police officer who shot the teen 16 times.
This is my only warning. At 10 a.m. on Monday mourning (sic) I am going to the campus quad of the University of Chicago. I will be armed with a M-4 Carbine and 2 Desert Eagles all fully loaded. I will execute aproximately (sic) 16 white male students and or staff, which is the same number of time (sic) Mcdonald (sic) was killed.
He also threatened to kill white policemen.
“I then will die killing any number of white policemen that I can in the process. This is not a joke. I am to do my part to rid the world of the white devils. I expect you to do the same,” the post read.
The school was shut down in response to the threat:
The University of Chicago said Sunday that FBI counterterrorism officials had informed the school of a threat, specifically of a shooting on “the campus quad” at 10 a.m. Monday.
“Based on the FBI’s assessment of this threat and recent tragic events at other campuses across the country, we have decided in consultation with federal and local law enforcement officials, to exercise caution by canceling all classes and activities on the Hyde Park campus through midnight on Monday,” the school said in a statement.
The school asked students and nonessential staff to stay away from campus. Students in college housing were asked to stay inside.
Gee…I wonder where young Jabari got the idea to kill white people? Couldn’t be from some of the same liberals who are accusing anti-abortion activists of domestic terrorism, or the Black Lives Matter crowd who chant “pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon” during their marches. Liberal speech is cost-free — their hate speech have no consequences whatsoever.
The airwaves have been full today of leftists excoriating conservatives for putting a gun in the hands of Robert Dear and telling him to shoot up a Planned Parenthood facility. They’re calling out activists for their “hate” rhetoric.
Meanwhile, a young black man — no doubt inspired by the hate speech from the left and Black Lives Matter – was prevented from carrying out his threats against white people only because he was stupid enough to post his plans on his Facebook page.
I doubt whether this incident will slow the left down in playing their blame game for the Planned Parenthood shootings. In fact, I doubt whether many media outlets will even bother to report it, beyond giving the story a barebones treatment. It’s just not news that a black man wants to kill white people.
