Angry Trump: 'The Media Are an Arm of the Democrat Party'

President Donald Trump has responded to reports in the mainstream media saying that there’s unrest in his administration about a possible (but canceled) meeting with the Taliban in Camp David. The reports about him overruling Vice President Mike Pence are nonsense, he says.

“A lot of Fake News is being reported that I overruled the VP and various advisers on a potential Camp David meeting with the Taliban,” the president writes on Twitter. “This Story is False! I always think it is good to meet and talk, but in this case I decided not to.”

He then opens the attack on the media in general. “The Dishonest Media likes to create the look of turmoil in the White House, of which there is none,” he writes. “I view much of the media as simply an arm of the Democrat Party. They are corrupt, and they are extremely upset at how well our Country is doing under MY Leadership, including the Economy, where there is NO Recession, much to the regret of the LameStream Media! They are working overtime to help the Democrats win in 2020, but that will NEVER HAPPEN, Americans are too smart!”

He’s right. The mainstream media have become little more than unofficial propaganda outfits for the Democratic Party. Whatever Democrats want them to report, say, or show, they’ll do. In some cases, they actually do this directly, as when CNN’s Donna Brazile shared a debate question with the Hillary Clinton campaign. In other situations, the two sides may not actually communicate with each other, but the result is the same.

Actually, we should take it one step further. The mainstream media and the Democratic Party are one and the same. No direct communication between the two is even necessary. They have the same opinions and the same goals. So yes, calling them “an arm of the Democrat Party” is exactly right.
