AOC Accuses America of Mistreating Immigrant Children: 'Left to Cough in Cages, Spread Lice'

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has doubled down on her accusations against America with regard to its treatment of illegal immigrants. On Twitter, the Congresswoman for New York writes that “kids are taken from their families under an American flag.”

“They are left to cough in cages,” she adds, “spread lice, & smell of mucus [with] bald eagle emblems emblazoned around them.”

“A few years from now, these 1000s of children will grow to tell their story. We owe it to them to change,” she ends her tweet.

Of course, Ocasio-Cortez conveniently forgets to mention that these children are living in such terrible conditions because of the conscious decisions of their parents who purposefully and willfully broke the law in order to move, illegally, to the United States. This isn’t America’s decision, to have those kids be in those centers. It’s caused by their parents and others involved in the illegal immigration scheme.

Now, that doesn’t mean that these kids shouldn’t receive better treatment. They should. But their stay should be limited to a few days at most, after which they and their parents are deported.

Something tells me that if the Trump administration adopts this policy, the dear congresswoman will once again condemn them for supposedly mistreating children “of color.” After all, this isn’t about actual policies and suffering to her — if it was, she would do everything in her power to stem the flow of illegals — but about pursuing her radical leftist agenda. In order to accomplish that grand goal, she’s literally willing to let children suffer.
