Thomas Homan, a god among men, and the Director of U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is seen in this video absolutely destroying Democrats who have impeded immigration reform but are determined to blame Trump for “children in cages.” Watch as he drops hot, scalding truth on this gathering of hyenas and a whopping pile of contempt to the congress-critter chairwoman, Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.).
“I’d like to respond to Congressman Jayapal about the Trump administration moving money around for more retention beds. I’d like to remind you that under Obama administration we did that most of the years he was president,” he said. “I don’t remember any hearings on that.” Homan continued, “You’re quick to point out the cages, they were built under the Obama administration, I was there. We had 100 family beds under the Obama administration and we built 3,000 more.”
Congress-critter Jayapal did not like that one bit and tried to claim she didn’t like it under the Obama administration either. When Homan interrupted her, all hell broke loose with Jayapal banging her gavel like it was Thor’s hammer with magical powers to shut Homan up. But it didn’t work.
“Be honest to the American people,” Homan said over the constant banging. “You can’t point out faults in the Trump administration when it happened under the Obama administration. That’s dishonesty. It’s pathetic and it’s sad.” This led Jayapal to harp about her position of authority and how she deserves respect for holding a small wooden gavel (that can be purchased on Amazon here. I may have to buy one and see if this works on my kids when they’re talking back).
Then Homan delivered the fatal blow. “Look, you want to know why there’s 50,000 people in detention?” he asked. “Because you have failed to secure the border. You have failed to work with this president to close the three loopholes we’ve asked for two years to close. [Interrupting congress-critter calls time.] You need to look in the mirror. You have failed the American people. [BANG BANG- congress-critter starts yelling.]”
“This is a circus,” said Homan. Jayapal continued to yell at Homan until he said, “I’m a taxpayer, you work for me!” and you could hear a pin drop. That took the wind right out of her sails.
