On Wednesday, Kirsten Gillibrand, the junior Senator from New York, announced that she is dropping out of the 2020 presidential race, due to her poor polling and fundraising.

Gillibrand tried to stand out in the most recent debate by aggressively challenging frontrunner Joe Biden, hoping for a surge similar to the one Kamala Harris experienced after her attack on Biden briefly boosted her performance in the polls.

Gillibrand’s candidacy has been underwhelming from the start, and her campaign has been rife with embarrassing moments of pandering to prove her woke-ness. Gillibrand was once a moderate member of Congress, who supported fiscal conservatism and gun rights. After being chosen to fill Hillary Clinton’s seat after she became Obama’s Secretary of State, Gillibrand swung hard to the left, and has been pandering to radical left ever since.

As PJ Media’s Tyler O’Neil recently noted, Democrat presidential candidates have been “dropping like flies” recently because candidates had until Wednesday to qualify for the debates coming in September. All she needed to do was poll at two percent or higher in four qualifying polls and have at least 130,000 unique donors. Unable to meet these requirements, Gillibrand joins Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.), former Governor John Hickenlooper (D-Colo.), Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), and Governor Jay Inslee (D-Wash.) who have also dropped out, realizing their chances to stand out disappear without a spot on stage.

Last month she singled herself out as the candidate who could explain “white privilege” to “those white women in the suburbs” who voted for President Trump. She also released her own $10 trillion plan to fight “climate change” because, why not? Everyone else running for president is doing pretty much the same thing anyway.

Gillibrand’s lackluster campaign can be summed up in one video:

Pass the ranch dressing, America, because Kirsten Gillibrand’s 2020 presidential campaign is done.
