Good Wednesday morning.
Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:
- The president and first lady attend the State funeral service of President George H.W. Bush
GHWB State funeral today
It’s a national day of mourning today, so banks, the stock market, and the post office are closed. President Trump will attend the service at the National Cathedral along with the ex-presidents. The service is by invite only, so you can’t just show up, in case you were thinking of popping by.
If you did not see the video of former senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole standing and saluting GHWB yesterday, you want to see that. Can you image our overly effeminate snowflake millennials doing something that that? I can’t.
At the GHWB service, 41 will be honored by the military with a missing man flyover. I always get emotional when they do that.
Rest in peace, sir.

Mueller is finished with Flynn, recommends no jail time
The moral of this story is: the process is the punishment.
Yesterday, witch-hunter Robert Mueller released a highly-redacted sentencing memo for former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn that recommended no jail time for the former Trump advisor. The “no jail time” recommendation comes because Flynn was cooperative with the witch-hunters. “Given the defendant’s substantial assistance and other considerations set forth below, a sentence at the low end of the guideline range — including a sentence that does not impose a term of incarceration — is appropriate and warranted,” the memo said.
Really, the objective of targeting Flynn has been met. There’s no need to toss him in the clink because the deep state has severely damaged him. He’s bankrupt, he lost his house, he’s going to have a problem getting employed. I’m sure his security clearance has been permanently yanked so… what’s he going to do to earn a living and take care of his wife and family? Remember, Flynn was the only person Obama told Trump not to bring on board in his administration. Obama and his administrative state thugs did not want Flynn coming in and undoing their globalist achievements.
Flynn sat for 19 interviews with the Special Counsel’s office and other Department of Justice attorneys, according to the sentencing memorandum and a heavily redacted supplemental filing attached to the end of the primary memorandum.
Responding to the documents’ release, Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani told Fox News that Mueller was “spitting on the sidewalk, with major repercussions for many.”
He added that there was nothing in the sentencing memo to suggest collusion between the Trump team and Russia, and denounced the Mueller team as “overzealous media inspired prosecutors” and “sick puppies.”
Yeah, there’s nothing about colluding with RUSSIA in there, and we were assured that Flynn was up to no good with RUSSIAN Ambassador Kislyak back in December 2016 — that’s why he “lied” about the call. The FBI agents who interviewed him did not think Flynn lied. Total ruination is the price of being in Trump’s orbit. Buckle up, Mueller is still truckin’.

AHOY. Never go full NEVER TRUMP
The Weekly Standard is probably shutting down. A once reputable magazine, the publication went completely bonkers over President Trump and never looked back. Unfortunately, the magazine’s readers stopped looking at the Standard. Since Trump has a pretty high approval rating among Republicans, I’m not sure from where the WS expected to get its readership. There’s certainly demand for Never Trumpism, but the market’s pretty saturated. It includes every print outlet, network TV station, two major cable news stations, and Hollywood — at least. The Standard became just one among many rabid Trump-bashing outlets, which are a dime dozen. If I’m a Trump-hating, p*ssy hat-wearing, #resistance member, I can read HuffPo, Daily Kos, The Atlantic, or The New Yorker; I’m not going to read the WS.
One of the people familiar with the matter told CNN that the Washington Examiner is expanding at the expense of The Weekly Standard.
The person’s view was that “they’re expanding the pro-Trump magazine that does what the owners want, while threatening closing of an independent magazine that has its own history and identity.”
I wouldn’t call the Examiner a “pro-Trump” magazine but whatever. It’s always sad when people lose their jobs around Christmas. I hope it was worth it for whoever decided on the WS editorial policy. I guess the employees and the reputation of the company were nothing compared to that sweet, lush approval from the anti-Trump elitist cocktail party circuit.
