Iranian protests against oppressive, misogynistic laws have led to over 14,000 arrests and a government decision to execute an unknown number of protestors. Afghanistan’s ruling power, the terrorist Taliban, murders, rapes, and abuses women on a daily basis. Russian soldiers reportedly weaponized rape in Ukraine. All of which, in Hillary Clinton’s mind, is equivalent to Arkansas’s pro-life legislation restricting the abortion of innocent unborn babies.
Most of us did a double take on that, but not PBS’s Christiane Amanpour. When failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton went on Amanpour and Company to discuss the women’s rights summit the Clinton Presidential Center is hosting, Amanpour didn’t seem disturbed by Hillary equating the saving of unborn babies with raping and shooting women, according to LifeNews.
Amanpour asked Clinton about the “unfinished business” of women’s rights, and Hillary knew exactly which countries to bash. “But we are also in a period of time where there is a lot of pushback and much of the progress that has been, I think, taken for granted by too many people is under attack,” Clinton pontificated. “Literally under attack in places like Iran or Afghanistan or Ukraine, where rape is a tactic of war, or under attacks by political and cultural forces in a country like our own when it comes to women’s health care and bodily autonomy.” Because pro-lifers are so similar to the Taliban!

Rather than asking how abortion restrictions are similar to rape as a tactic of war, Amanpour eagerly seized on the issue. “Arkansas itself, I believe, rapidly moved to make a woman’s right to choose illegal in your state, or your former home state, and you are hosting this conference. Talk to me about the confluence of both these events. This pushback on American women’s rights at the same time as you’re trying to figure a way forward,” the PBS host dithered.
Hillary promoted the Clinton summit and mourned the overturn of Roe v. Wade, which was responsible for the murder of over 63 million babies in the womb. “[W]hat we’ve seen particularly since the Dobbs decision across our country is that when voters, both men and women but led by women, have a chance to vote on these draconian abortion restrictions, they do not accept them. They overturned them. They certainly want to limit the reach of the government into the most intimate, private parts of our life.” She ignored the fact that all Republican governors who signed abortion bans were re-elected by significant margins.

Amanpour agreed with Clinton, of course, and whined, “But, I mean, how much persuasion can we expect when it comes to our — and I’m speaking as a woman — basic rights? Whether it’s in the United States or around the world, as you said, they are human rights.” She continued to ramble confusedly. “At what point should these be enshrined even in the American law and Constitution even. I mean, I’m probably exaggerating, but it’s extraordinary in 2022 that this basic right of women, half the world’s population, is still at risk.”
Hillary enthused about the recent homosexual marriage legislation then returned to the left’s sacred topic of abortion. “So, we’ll see what happens in states like Arkansas and so many others when we face real-world problems. As we have seen already, where women with miscarriages go in for medical care and are turned away. When maybe, God forbid, a woman dies because that health care is denied her.” It’s a flat-out lie that abortion restrictions affect treatment for miscarriages. But then again, lying has always been a specialty of Hillary’s.
