The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the National Symphony Orchestra have just named musician Ben Folds as their next Artistic Advisor, and you can see why. He asks for a key, a type of song, and a lyric from the audience, and then he improvises an entire symphony song in 10 minutes. He works with each instrument set to compose the sound he wants, all while on stage at the Kennedy Center, and determines how the song will go. This is one of the most innovative and interesting pieces of music I have ever heard. Wow!
