Doctors Say Scalise Should Be Able to Walk and Run Again

Doctors at the MedStar Washington Hospital say that Majority Whip Scalise (R-LA) is still in critical condition, but that he should be able to walk, and maybe even run, after his recovery. Scalise was shot while practicing for the annual charity Congressional Baseball Game, and he was targeted for being a Republican. Dr. Jack Sava, lead trauma specialist at the facility, seemed optimistic that, while the congressman isn’t out of the woods yet, he will steadily get better.
