Israel Back In From the Cold

Israel has offered the Palestinians their own state in the West Bank and Gaza a number of times, and the Palestinian leadership has never said yes. Someday Palestinian society may be ready to peacefully coexist alongside Israel, but it is not going to happen while Barack Obama is president, nor is it likely to happen on the next president’s watch.

The Obama Administration foolishly spent all of its first year and much of its second year placing most of the blame, at least in public, on Israel for the lack of peace between the two sides, but it looks like the administration is fully prepared to point the finger at Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, at least for the time being.
