TPUSA Spokesman Reveals Why He's Glad 'Liar' Jimmy Kimmel Is Back on TV

Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet said that he and other members of the organization are thrilled to see late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel return to television, because it guarantees no one will continue treating him as a “martyr.”

“I don’t want Jimmy Kimmel to be a martyr. He doesn’t deserve it. He’s a liar — an unrepentant liar — but nobody should consider him a martyr,” Kolvet told Fox News Digital in a recent interview.

ABC/Disney suspended Kimmel’s late-night program for less than a week after he made comments about the assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10. Leftists erupted in a major crybaby tantrum, claiming that the network violated freedom of speech and falsely blaming pressure from the Trump administration.

Can the left be more idiotic? Kirk was murdered for exercising his right to free speech. Instead of condemning the attack on the First Amendment, many liberals celebrated his death on social media. The behavior was truly ghoulish and hypocritical.

Kolvet said the best way to handle a person like Kimmel is to let him keep lying and let his ratings sink, which will eventually lead to his show’s cancellation.

“It’s important that people face real consequences when they lie on a major platform about such a huge event,” he said. “The best consequence is that viewers tune out. People refuse to watch a liar on TV, and when ABC reviews the ratings and the P&L statement, they’ll conclude, ‘Hey, this isn’t worth continuing.’”

Kolvet added, “When that happens, he won’t be able to blame us. He’ll have to blame himself and his own choices. I won’t be sad about it.”

Kimmel’s return to television last Tuesday drew a record-breaking 6.3 million viewers — triple his regular audience. But two days later, ratings fell by 64%, landing at 2.3 million.

That's a rather significant drop. Kolvet's strategy of allowing Kimmel to more or less destroy his own career seems like it's already working, doesn't it? People are waking up to the bias in their entertainment and are ready for something less polarizing. Too bad Hollywoke won't listen. Instead, they'll continue to push out the same tripe with the same agenda, all the while expecting different results.

Some might call that insanity.

Kolvet said the false narrative that political violence is “equally extreme on the Right or the Left” disturbed him the most.

People are afraid to admit the truth. Left-wing violence is rising sharply in the U.S., and it far outpaces violence on the Right. Clearly, some believe that pointing fingers at both sides mitigates potential violence, but in reality, trying to please everyone satisfies no one.

“There are no facts to support that claim,” Kolvet said. “That strikes me as a fundamental problem. If someone lies brazenly on that platform, it shows they don’t care about us as humans. It shows they believe it’s acceptable to smear, slander, and dehumanize people—and that’s how we get this violence in the first place.”

While Kimmel addressed the controversy during his monologue, many viewers, including Kolvet, found his statements insincere. The spokesman called Kimmel an “unrepentant liar.”
