In the wake of Merkel’s Folly, individual attacks by “migrants” on real Germans are multiplying across the country. The latest came yesterday, when (among two other incidents) an “asylum seeker” assaulted innocent people at the Düsseldorf train station. Never mind that he was from Muslim Kosovo. No, Islam had nothing whatsoever to do with his crimes, which were caused by mental illness:
The suspect in an ax attack at a German train station that wounded nine people Thursday was a mentally disturbed asylum seeker from Kosovo, officials said Friday. They said there was no indication of any political or religious motive for the attack.
German police swarmed the main train station in Düsseldorf around 9 p.m. Thursday after a man on a commuter train began striking exiting passengers with an ax, officials said.
The suspect in the attack was identified in the German news outlet Spiegel Online as 36-year-old Fatmir H. On Friday, police found a doctor’s diagnosis inside the suspect’s apartment, some 20 miles away in the city of Wuppertal, as well as medication indicating that he was paranoid schizophrenic, according to Dietmar Kneib of the North Rhine-Westphalia state criminal police.
The suspect was being treated at a hospital for severe injuries suffered after he jumped off a bridge to try to escape police. Of the nine victims, four suffered serious injuries, though none were in critical condition, officials said. “Apparently it was a psychological disorder of the perpetrator that led to the deed,” Kneib said.
The jokes write themselves, of course, except in this instance — and all others like it involving Muslim perpetrators — they aren’t funny. Yes, “not all Muslims,” etc. But the presence of a substantial population of pre-modern primitives steeped in anti-Christian, anti-Western hatred invites jihadism and allows it to fester; with no tradition of assimilation either on the German or the Muslim side, Merkel’s catastrophic decision to open Germany to what amounts to cultural (and, soon enough, political) invasion and conquest is a blunder of epic proportions.
(The American intervention on the side of the Kosovar Muslims under Bill Clinton in 1999 was, in retrospect, appalling, and will continue to have long-term disastrous consequences for both Europe and the U.S.)
So naturally the Germans’ response to “immigrant” crime is to classify it as mental illness; a German would have to be crazy to do something like this; the “immigrants” have been welcomed as New Germans; therefore any criminal act must be a psychological issue. Paging Dr. Freud…
But there are other ramifications as well, as this piece in the Independent points out:
German states spent more than €20bn (£17.5bn) on refugees in 2016, government figures have indicated as Angela Merkel continues to come under pressure for her policy on migration. Statistics seen by The Independent for the states of Bavaria, Schleswig-Holstein, Hesse and Berlin show that the cost of housing and integrating asylum seekers has far outstripped official predictions.
The Bundestag’s statistics service has listed a total spend of over €7bn (£6bn) for those four states alone in 2016, meaning the nationwide figure is likely to be far higher.
Johannes Singhammer, Vice President of the German parliament, told Die Welt: “[The figures] show that if the costs are added up for all federal states, around €23bn (£20bn) has probably been spent on migrants and refugees in 2016.” The four states recorded have taken around a third of asylum seekers currently living in Germany, where more than a million have arrived since the start of the refugee crisis in 2015.
“Refugee crisis” makes the invasion of Germany sound like an act of God, instead of the calculated murder-suicide pact that it is. The refugee crisis in Europe after World War II resulted from a theater of war largely fought among Europeans on European soil. The DPs (displaced persons) were first settled in vast camps, then either repatriated or resettled after meaningful borders were re-established. The current situation in the Middle East bears little or no resemblance to 1945 and its aftermath.
Amazingly, the German government is still running a budget surplus, a legacy of its postwar rebirth. But how long can this last?
Despite the huge financial cost of the ongoing crisis, Germany’s federal government announced a budget surplus of €6.2bn (£5.4bn) last year. The unprecedented number of refugees arriving in 2015 generated a huge backlog of claims that civil servants are still working to clear, with more than 430,000 cases outstanding at the start of 2017.
Still, the threats continue to worsen:
The atrocities and increasing concern over migration have driven surging support for the populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which is expected to enter the national parliament (Bundestag) for the first time as Ms Merkel battles for a fourth term in September’s election.
There was fresh scrutiny this week after Germany’s federal prosecutor charged three suspected Isis members with planning a terror attack in Düsseldorf. Officials said the two of the Syrian men, aged between 25 and 27, investigated smuggling routes to Europe for jihadis in 2014, sending several refugees as tests before journeying along the migrant route themselves in 2015.
They allegedly drew the third suspect into the plot and worked with an Isis bomb maker already deployed to Germany by commanders, planning to detonate two suicide bombs in Düsseldorf’s popular Old Town before other militants massacred as many passers-by with guns as possible.
Such are the wages of “compassion.” Mrs. Merkel cannot be shown the door fast enough.
