If Trump Makes David Petraeus Secretary of State, the General Will Have to Notify His Probation Officer

Remember way back when not playing fast and loose with classified information was a major problem according to Donald Trump and his supporters? Well, apparently everything has changed now that he’s won. How else to explain the fact that he’s thinking about making General David Petraeus his secretary of State?

After all, the general pleaded guilty to mishandling classified information. To make matters even worse, he actually lied to the FBI during the investigation.

Of course the Clinton and Petraeus cases aren’t completely the same. The general mishandled the information, but none of the classified intel became public knowledge. Hillary was hacked, which resulted in her information being released to the public by WikiLeaks.

But the crimes are basically the same: they both mishandled classified information and proceeded to cover it up. If that means Hillary shouldn’t be president, why is it alright for Petraeus to become secretary of State? Somehow it doesn’t make sense to me, but perhaps a passionate Trump supporter can explain it to me. What’s the difference, folks? Is it that Petraeus is a Republican? Is it because he has the magical “R” next to his name?

The situation is so pathetic that if the general is actually nominated, he will have to notify his probation officer. No, that’s not a joke:

Come on, Republicans and conservatives, you can certainly do better than this.
