On his first day back in office, President Donald Trump made it clear that America will be sane again under his administration. “As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female,” he declared in his inaugural address.
It wasn’t mere lip service. Later that day, he signed an executive order titled “Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government,” which mandates that federal agencies recognize only two immutable sexes, male and female. The order defines “sex” as an individual’s biological classification at birth and explicitly states that “sex” is not synonymous with “gender identity,” which is a concept that activists made up.
It’s unfortunate that such an order was necessary, but that’s the way things are right now. Over the past decade, radical gender ideology has infiltrated every corner of society, spreading like a cancer across the nation and beyond. Hollywood glorifies it, governments legitimize it, and even the medical community has succumbed to the lure of profit.
The push for hormone treatments and invasive surgeries — procedures that often leave individuals with lasting complications — has turned vulnerable, confused people into lifelong patients, all in the name of ideology and greed. Some of them are even children who have been brainwashed by adults who have led them to believe that all their problems will be solved by transitioning.

Between Trump’s executive order and legislative efforts like the House of Representatives passing the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act,” which seeks to codify the original intent of Title IX by defining the law according to biological sex and only biological sex, we’re off to a great start to making America sane again. The bill now heads to the Republican-controlled Senate, and if it clears that hurdle, Trump will be in a position to sign it into law early in his second term, fulfilling a key promise to protect fairness in women’s athletics.
Of course, legislative fixes to the problem can only do so much. The key is trying to close Pandora’s box. Though seemingly an impossible task, the tide is definitely turning against radical gender ideology.
A recent New York Times/Ipsos poll revealed that a significant majority of Americans, including most Democrats, oppose allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports.
"Thinking about transgender female athletes — meaning athletes who were male at birth but who currently identify as female — do you think they should or should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports?" the survey asked.
Of the 2,128 people who participated, 79% said biological males who identify as women should not be allowed to participate in women's sports.
Of the 1,025 people who identified as Democrats or leaning Democrat, 67% said transgender athletes should not be allowed to compete with women.
Among 1,022 Republicans, that number was 94%.
This is a seismic shift, and it is now up to Donald Trump and the Republican Party to seize this critical moment and defeat radical gender ideology once and for all. While other nations have begun to see the dangers of this dangerous fad and are starting to dial back their embrace of it, the Biden administration pushed full throttle in the wrong direction.
With the United States now taking a stand, we have the opportunity to lead the world in rejecting this toxic ideology and restoring common sense and fairness. The time to act is now; let’s hope Trump and the GOP come through.
