Has The Democrats' Desperation Reached Fever Pitch With This Latest Tactic?

We’ve been observing the signs that Democrats are desperate and panicking about the 2024 elections for months now. It was clear even before Trump had such a consistent lead in the polls that they were indicting him in the hopes of thwarting his return to the presidency.

That didn’t work, and the politicization and weaponization of the Justice Department have only increased Trump's lead in the Republican primary and brought Biden’s numbers down. To say that these efforts backfired — as have the recent efforts to boot Trump off the ballot — is an understatement. Many experts expect that the Supreme Court will overturn those rulings, and even Democratic strategists say that those efforts only boost and embolden Trump.

But have Democrats learned their lesson? Have they stopped trying to use the legal system to get at Trump in the hopes of thwarting his candidacy and what could be his inevitable return to the White House? Apparently not.

Here's a little background. In 2019, Democrats in Congress sued Trump over alleged violations of the Constitution’s Foreign Emoluments Clause. In February 2020, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia dismissed the lawsuit. Another round of lawsuits was dismissed in 2021.

Democrats have dug up the corpses of those cases and are trying once again to hit Trump on emoluments violations. House Democrats have just released a report whining about the fact that Trump’s businesses made money from foreign sources during his presidency when he wasn’t even running the company.

“Through entities he owned and controlled, President Trump accepted, at a minimum, millions of dollars in foreign emoluments in violation of the United States Constitution,” the Democrats’ report, which clocks in at 155 pages, claims. “The documents obtained from former President Trump’s accounting firm demonstrate that four Trump-owned properties together collected, at the least, millions of dollars in payments from foreign governments and officials that violated the Constitution’s prohibition on emoluments 'of any kind whatever' from foreign governments.”

Let’s not forget that these are the same Democrats who want us to believe that Joe Biden wasn't involved in his son Hunter's foreign business dealings, that Hunter was only selling the illusion of access to his father, and that Joe never benefited financially from those deals.

Republicans have been collecting the receipts on the Biden Crime Family for nearly a year. The information they've collected, from eyewitness and whistleblower testimony to White House logs, bank records, text messages, and more, has been so damning that the White House was forced to change its public statements due to the evidence that Republicans have found. Most notably, the administration went from saying that Biden never spoke with Hunter about his business dealings to saying that Joe Biden wasn't "in business" with Hunter.

House Democrats have thrown anything and everything at Trump, and none of it has stuck. They're attempting to resurrect old charges that never went anywhere. And can you guess why?

"This is nothing more than a blatant attempt by the Biden Crime Family to cover up their own problematic dealings that sold out America for their own financial gain," Steven Cheung, a Trump campaign spokesman, told The Messenger.

Exactly.
