Over the past three months, President Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee raised a staggering $125 million, according to the Associated Press. They’ve raised a total of $308 million in 2019, and have over $156 million on hand.

These numbers represent a fundraising record that breaks even that of Barack Obama, who raise just over $70 million in the third quarter of 2011.

“President Trump has built a juggernaut of a campaign, raising record amounts of money at a record pace,” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said.

The Trump campaign has set a fundraising goal of $1 billion for the 2020 campaign.

How has Trump managed to raise such a large amount of money? According to Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, Democrats deserve much of the credit for their unprecedented attacks on Trump motivating supporters to donate. This is not mere rhetoric. Trump’s campaign raised a whopping $13 million in the days after Pelosi’s impeachment inquiry announcement. And these funds are going to be put it good use. “We are investing millions on the airwaves and on the ground to hold House Democrats accountable, highlight their obstruction, and take back the House and reelect President Trump in 2020,” McDaniel said.
