The Morning Briefing: AOC Has Some Smart Thoughts on the Holocaust

Good Wednesday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president participates in a roundtable discussion with supporters in Doral, Florida.
  • President Trump delivers remarks at a fundraising committee luncheon in Doral, Florida
  • The president presents the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Arthur Laffer at the White House

Do you know what’s just like the Holocaust? NOTHING. NOTHING IS JUST LIKE THE HOLOCAUST.

AOC… is she a willful anti-Semitic propagandist or just a moron? The intersectional darling and congressperson filmed a video talking about how the administration is running concentrations camps at the border. Are they jailing people to burn them up in an oven in order to exterminate an entire religion? No. Many people came out to smack her down and the usual suspects in the corporate media came to her defense.

“The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the home of the free is extraordinarily disturbing, and we need to do something about it,” Ocasio-Cortez told her viewers on Instagram.

Many of AOC’s wet nurses tried to make the distinction between concentration camps and death camps to back up her foolish assertion. Let me tell you the difference. The people who are detained in the U.S. “concentration camps” are there of their own accord. They left their countries willingly and came to request asylum in the U.S. If asylum hopefuls wanted to leave and return to their own country, they could do that. By contrast, Jews did not willingly present themselves to the concentration camps. They were not free to go home if they wanted. Jews were taken from their communities in countries where they lived, they were rounded up, and millions were killed. That was the plan, it was the final solution. The U.S. is not planning to exterminate the migrants. We did not seek them out and forcibly bring them here. So no, there are not “concentration camps” in the home of the free. Thank you and goodnight.

Dept. of Education is investigating Duke, UNC for using federal funds for anti-Israel events

The Department of Education is investigating the use of federal grants to fund anti-Israel events on campus. Surprise.

The Education Department has informed Congress that it is launching an investigation into how $235,000 in federal grants were used to fund a series of anti-Israel events that featured speakers and events tied to Palestinian terror groups organized by Duke University and the University of North Carolina.

Palestinian terror groups, eh?

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos informed Rep. George Holding (R., Ga.), a member of the Ways and Means Committee, that she has directed her agency to investigate how these funds were used and whether they violated grant conditions, according to a letter sent to Holding, who had initially requested an investigation into the anti-Israel conference in April.

“I am troubled by the concerns outlined in your letter,” DeVos wrote to Holding, according to a copy of that letter obtained by the Free Beacon. “In order for the Department to learn more about this matter, I have directed the Office of Postsecondary Education to examine the use of funds under this program to determine if the Consortium violated the terms and conditions of its grant, Department regulates, or the HEA. It is critical that recipients of grants use funds in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as for purposes of the program for which they are funded.”

The conference under scrutiny was called “Conflict over Gaza: People, Politics, and Possibilities,” and was co-sponsored by the Duke-UNC Consortium for Middle East Studies, which reportedly “applied for and received a $235,000 grant through the Department of Education in 2018.”

Several speakers at the event in question were videotaped discussing how they held meetings with members of the Popular Front for the Liberations of Palestine, or PFLP, which has been designated as a foreign terror organization.

One of the conference speakers was Jew-hater Linda Sarsour who “repeatedly maligned Israel and pro-Israel Jews” at the event. Sounds delightful.

Trump campaign announcement

On Tuesday evening President Trump made his official announcement for his 2020 presidential campaign. CNN cut away from the coverage when the crowd started shouting “CNN sucks!” The corporate network managed to cover the entirety of the Biden campaign snore-fest announcement, imagine that.
