The New York Times saw fit to run an ad during the Academy Awards, I suppose in an attempt to defend its reputation against claims it peddles “fake news.” The fact that the NYT is paying for this ad to be broadcast to an audience that is perfectly fine with its reporting shows how out of touch some of these media elites really are. If you are watching the Academy Awards, you probably have a NYT subscription.
