Avengers (2012) director Joss Whedon is at it again — but this time he’s not attacking President Trump or House Speaker Paul Ryan. This time, he went after Trump’s family.
“Hey, keep your eyes on this f**king prize too,” Whedon tweeted on Tuesday, with a photo of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Krushner. “He’s a Voldemort in training, & unlike the Pekingese he married under, can play the long game.”

These insults might require some interpretation. The most offensive slur is likely the “Pekingese” comment. The term refers to the Peking lion dog, an ancient breed of minuscule “toy” dog originating in China. In one fell swoop, Whedon attacked First Daughter Ivanka Trump as a female dog and a puny “toy” one, at that.
But the Voldemort reference was also a vile insult. In J.K. Rowling’s masterful Harry Potter series, the ultimate villain Tom Riddle adopted the name “Lord Voldemort,” a name so evil that even to whisper it is literally a curse. Voldemort is a blood-thirsty murderer, but he is also a racist — one who looks down on anyone with “impure” blood and wantonly kills them without even thinking.
Kushner is a successful businessman: a real estate investor and developer, publisher, and senior adviser to his father-in-law. Naturally, this has led many to question if his position on Trump’s team involves a conflict of interest.
But Kushner is also the grandson of Holocaust survivors and is a lifelong Jew. His wife Ivanka converted to Judaism, and they are raising three children. Even if Kushner has a hidden dark side, he is no Voldemort, and Whedon really should know better. In fact, it is arguably verging on anti-Semitism to attack Trump’s son-in-law in this fashion.
Then again, Whedon has a history of anti-Trump (and anti-Republican) slurs.
Just a few days ago, the director published this ugly piece of “artwork.”

On Wednesday, he called Trump a “dictator.”
We have a dictator. Wow. We're THAT country now.

Then he added that the president won “the world’s biggest participation trophy.”
Trump will never get over the fact that what he won was basically the world's biggest participation trophy

He also attacked actress Nicole Kidman as a “puppet for Trump” and a “blunderturd.” Why? Because she encouraged Americans to accept the results of the election.

Oh, and there was that time the Avengers director tweeted that he wanted “a rhino to f**k @SpeakerRyan to death with its horn because it’s FUNNY.”
We must also never forget this Mitt Romney zombie apocalypse video Whedon made in 2012.
Fans aren’t appreciating Whedon’s low blows against Trump’s family, however.
One asked if the director was “okay,” saying it seemed he is “coming quite unhinged.”

Another mockingly called him “classy,” because he “just called Ivanka a dog because you don’t agree with Trump.”

Another asked what made Whedon “so hateful.”

And this is one of my personal favorites.

Whedon may keep making good movies, but these anti-Trump declarations aren’t helping his brand. The real question is, when will enough be enough? Will Disney cut him off?
