There seems to be a never-ending supply of reasons to close the border, and this is just the eighth one I've written about.
Southeast of me in Lake Worth, Fla., near Miami this past Saturday, a 20-year-old illegal immigrant from Guatemala named Marvin Dionel Perez Lopez was arrested for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
ABC-WPEC described how Perez Lopez took his young neighbor off the street outside their apartment building and forced her into his van, where he attacked her.
The victim's mother spotted them when she came out looking for her daughter, but he ran off. The mother then went to Perez Lopez's apartment, where his brother called him to come back.
And get this: Perez Lopez tried to ask for forgiveness.
I'd say something about the forgiveness he should have gotten, but I don't think my editors would be too pleased with it. If anything, the mother showed enough restraint to call the cops on Perez Lopez, and he was lucky the victim's father wasn't the one to find him.
Naturally, when police came by for questioning on Friday, he ran off like the coward he was, only to be caught the next day.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office posted on X that they discovered that Perez Lopez came into the United States as early as January through Mexico, was caught by Border Patrol, processed, and released, reaching the Sunshine State by the end of the month with a court date for 2027.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody called the case "sickening" and vowed that Perez Lopez would remain behind bars. I would say deport him, but we here at PJ Media have covered plenty of cases where deported illegals just come back in and commit crimes again like nothing happened.
SICKENING—an unvetted illegal alien, who @JoeBiden welcomed into the country and released under his mass-release program, was arrested just months later for kidnapping a minor and sexual assault.

In all seriousness, it seems as though you cannot go more than a few days without seeing another example of Biden's border bloodbath and why everybody is getting behind mass deportations of illegal immigrants, which we all know will not happen until Donald Trump is back in office.
Still, you have to wonder if Biden's handlers are just sadistic, letting these people into the country with almost no vetting and letting them in with little oversight and court dates a long way off to do God knows what to the rest of us.
You would think that if they at least pretended to care, they would turn away anyone sketchy or make a greater effort to deport those who behave like Marvin Dionel Perez Lopez. Importing a new permanent voting bloc doesn't mean you have to take in the very worst of them or let them stay if they get out of line.
Then again, anarcho-tyranny doesn't work that way.
