When it comes to demonstrating cases of why the border needs to be closed, here is, in the immortal words of DJ Khaled, "another one."
Southwest of me in Dover, Fla., an illegal immigrant from Guatemala named Gabriel Cuz-Choc was recently captured by Hillsborough County law enforcement for the murder of his girlfriend, Amalia Coc Choc de Pec, and her four-year-old daughter Estrella.
According to Fox 13, neighbors heard Amalia screaming but did not report it because it was "not unusual" in the area, only finding her body and the body of the four-year-old later.
Cuz-Choc was apparently abusive to Choc de Pec, having beaten her before. After killing her and the daughter by stabbing them multiple times, Cuz-Choc supposedly confessed to one of his brothers, explaining that he killed them because Amalia stayed out for three hours with a friend instead of her "allotted" hour-and-a-half.
Court documents said, "The nature and circumstances of these offenses are excessively violent and brutal. The defendant attacked and stabbed his live-in girlfriend multiple times. In addition, he stabbed an innocent and defenseless four-year-old child while she was in the bathtub. The heinous nature of the offenses elevates that probability of danger the defendant’s release poses to our community and establish[es] that no conditions of release will reasonably protect the community from risk of physical harm."
And yes, he did tell the cops that he was here illegally, paying a coyote to bring him over the border approximately three months ago, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Hillsborough Sheriff Chad Chronister recently posted the bodycam footage of Cuz-Choc's capture 17 hours after the murders, vowing he would "face the full weight of the criminal justice system for his vicious, vile, and evil actions."
"Not only did he commit an unimaginable crime which cruelly claimed the lives of two innocent victims, he then made the cowardly and ultimately futile attempt to evade capture. His efforts were no match for our team of dedicated detectives who left no stone unturned in their search," Chronister added.
It feels like just a few days ago, I wrote about an illegal immigrant who sexually assaulted two girls in Michigan in late March after entering the country in 2021 on a work permit.
Oh, wait, it was.
And he was not the first example of why Biden should not have been allowed to enter the Oval Office, as we at PJ Media have chronicled plenty of illegal immigrants who have been allowed to enter the country committing horrific crimes thanks to the nonexistent border policy put in place by his handlers.
Other murders? Sure. Sex crimes? You bet. Black market activity? Of course. Possible connection to terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, and God knows who else? Why not? At this rate, we should just create a whole category about the border for our site until someone finally restores sanity.
If it's any comfort, more and more people are waking up to the toll the border crisis is inflicting on our country, as half the country now supports deporting illegals en masse, something 42% of Democrats and 46% of independents agree on.
