Regulators Unplug Cell Tower Backup Rules

If you think it’s bad when your cell phone loses power imagine the headache if your carrier cell TOWER loses power. The FCC had proposed having 8 hour back up power available on all towers but regulators have bottled up the plan because of procedure irregularities. The commission has very little time to address this issue before the end of the present term and it looks like this will be left to the incoming commission members.  Wireless communications have become a critical part of the national infrastructure and a stable, reliable platform is a necessity.  Can you hear me now?
