Researchers from Independent Security Evaluators claim to have discovered a security flaw in the new Google Android. The issue seems to be a buffer overflow in the browser caused by Google’s use of older open source packages. Should a user visit a malicious website, the flaw could allow for access to passwords and cookies. Luckily, certain Android security layers seem to limit the potential damage and Google is working on a fix.
