In a move targeted directly at the Apple iPhone, RIM has announced new consumer targeted apps for its popular Blackberry. RIM, which has a cult following in the business sector of smart phones, is hoping the new apps, coupled with recent announcements of the flip Pearl unit and the Blackberry Bold, will have a greater appeal to the consumer sector which includes the popular Apple iPhone.
