How Badly Does the EPA Hate Its Boss?

So badly that it’s produced a PSA disguised as a cry for help, begging America to recall that, as Jim Treacher writes at the Daily Caller, “Hey, remember how Obama admitted he eats dogs?”

Remember how he wrote about it in one of his various autobiographies? And remember how he and his genius campaign staff then tried to turn dogs into a campaign issue? Which was really funny because he, y’know, eats dogs?

Well, the left still isn’t willing to let go of the whole “dog” issue. Fine by me:

Click over to Jim’s page at the Daily Caller for the original video produced by the EPA, but I must say that I prefer the mashup below, which combines the EPA’s video with audio from the first book Mr. Obama published under his own imprimatur, in which he told the world of his bizarre past culinary habits, and then a decade later, recorded his tale of the incident in a chilling sociopathic monotone, painfully oblique to the horrors he was describing to his voters:

Hey, if we’re going to talk about how presidential candidates treated dogs decades ago, let’s talk about how presidential candidates treated dogs decades ago.

Can you name the author of this quote?

“With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chill peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy). Like many Indonesians, Lolo followed a brand of Islam that could make room for the remnants of more ancient animist and Hindu faiths. He explained that a man took on the powers of whatever he ate: One day soon, he promised, he would bring home a piece of tiger meat for us to share.”

Give up? That’s Barack Obama, writing about his childhood with his stepfather Lolo Soetoro in Indonesia, from Chapter Two of his bestseller Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.

This video is also a reminder that despite forcing a government takeover of GM and Chrysler, many in the Obama administration eschew the vehicles of Government Motors for foreign-produced automobiles — perhaps for good reason. That is, among the Obama administration staffers who actually drive, unlike Steven Chu, the administration’s secretary of energy, who tells Congress he doesn’t own a car, and with his calls for European-level gas prices wants us to inflict the same level of immobility upon the rest of us. When he’s not being transported by a taxpayer-funded Obachauffeur, Chu leaves the driving to his wife, who tools around in a BMW 325i, whose relatively poor fuel-efficiency at 18 MPG in the city and 27 on the highway is nowhere near the amount described in the video below. Doesn’t the administration consider the mileage shown in their videos to be the baseline mandatory amount for its enormous (and often dangerous) fleet of vehicles?

Incidentally, Chu’s boss eats dogs.
