Say what you will about Al Gore, his four years not in office were memorable enough to be explored on both sides of the aisle:

• Newsweek in December 2009.
• Glenn Beck in the latest edition of New York magazine(!).

Only President Goldwater was a more consequential imaginary leader, and then only in Ted Kennedy’s Chivas-fueled mind.
