Don Surber asks, “Will a digitalized Jacko tour?”
Yes, folks. The Michael Jackson case did get weirder.
The London Sun published the above photo purportedly of Jackson and his three children. Ah, the apple of Dad’s eye. And they sort of look like Michael Jackson, too.
But there is the little matter of 50 concerts at the O2 in London which have sold out. That’s 750,000 tickets or $85 million.
The Sun said some of those concerts could be covered by Janet Jackson. 4 brothers could fill in.
But the ridiculously weird part is this from the source: “A highly technical version of MJ as a silhouette performing on stage has been discussed. It is possible to create an impression that Michael is actually there, giving fans a place to mourn and celebrate his music.”
For more than $100 a ticket. On average.
Fools. Money. Parted.
If the digital Michael Jackson starts appearing in a few upcoming videos, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised — the date in the headline of this (hopefully) rather prescient article from 2004 is approaching rather quickly…
