Other Problems Won't Wait for the Debt Limit Mess

Less than considerate, the rest of the world has not put aside its preparations to do bad things to United States interests on account of the debt limit mess.  China is becoming stronger militarily and more expansionist, the Middle East (because of despite President Obama’s Muslim outreach) remains a tinderbox and the Korean Peninsula is still a likely problem; there are others.

As I argue here, there can be no good resolution of the debt limit mess but we will have one nevertheless, like it or not.  Since we seem unable to focus on many important things simultaneously, we should get the debt limit mess resolved with the least bad deal that can be arranged and get on with the other important stuff.
