Bach’s violin concertos can be pure magic. Equally thoughtful and passionate. A model of man’s ability to meld the spirit of the individual with the cooperation of the group. (If only our politics could be carried out as imaginatively and as well!)
There are many wonderful examples available on LP and CD. On web-available video none IMO is better than this – Trevor Pinnock conducting The English Concert with Simon Standage and Elizabeth Wilcock on the violins. So, so sweet! Truly food for the soul.
