Former Melrose Place star Heather Locklear had a rough end to her weekend. The 56-year-old actress was arrested at her Thousand Oaks, Calif., home on suspicion of felony domestic violence.
When police responded to the domestic disturbance call, there “was visible evidence that Locklear had battered her boyfriend, which makes the offense a felony,” said sheriff’s spokesman Capt. Garo Kuredjian, according to USA Today. When deputies approached Locklear, she was uncooperative and combative, kicking and pushing the cops, according to Kuredjian. As a result, she “was booked on suspicion of three misdemeanor counts of battery against a police officer in addition to domestic violence.” The name of her boyfriend has not been released.
When she was arrested, Locklear was taken to a hospital, where she was medically cleared before heading to jail to be booked. She was released at 6:-00 a.m. the following day on bond.
Prior to Melrose Place, Locklear was a series regular on T.J. Hooker, and then Dynasty in the ’80s. She has worked regularly ever since, including on Spin City and Franklin & Bash.
She’s been married twice, first to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora from 1986-1993, and then to Tommy Lee, the drummer from Motley Crue, from 1994-2007.
