Hesham Shehab

Biography

Hesham Shehab was born in 1960 in Beirut, Lebanon during the Lebanese civil war. He was recruited as an adolescent by the Muslim Brotherhood before becoming disillusioned with Brotherhood ideology, and ultimately making the decision to leave the Muslim faith. Hesham has an M.A. in the History of the Arabs from American University of Beirut and worked as journalist at several Arab-language newspapers. He now serves as the Chicago Associate of the Counter-Islamist Grid (CIG).
